Panderonisi Cave

A dive for all certification levels.  We begin the dive following a wall (-18mtrs for Open Water Divers, -30mtrs for Advanced Divers and above).  We gradually ascend to -12 where we begin to see the massive entrance to the cave.  As we enter our eyes begin to adjust to the darkness and with underwater torches we supply for each diver, we can see the true vibrant colors of the inside walls.  We ascend to the surface inside the cave.  The cave is large, the colors amazing, the stalactites magical and the calm of the cave is unforgettable.  Depending on the certification level of the divers we can either exit through the large entrance, or through a smaller “tunnel”, and then at -12 meters, we follow the wall back to our boat.

Mariana Wreck

Originally known as “Neils Maersk” and later renamed by Greek ship owners, the “Marianna” was a 91 meter cargo ship built in 1961 in Holland.  The wreck sunk in 1981 whilst traveling from the Red Sea to the Port of Piraeus when it hit Amaras rocks between the islands of Naxos and Paros.   The ship was transporting several thousand tons of barley, metals and pesticides. All the 24 crew were rescued safely and today The Marianna wreck rests at 24meters depth.  Originally it measured 35m long, but when it hit Amaras the bow was sticking out above water, so in 1982 it was exploded and now the bow rests on the rocks while the remaining ¾ of the ship is 20 meters away laying upright in the sand.

Faros

A dive into History.  Faros is a great dive on the north side of the reef of Amaras.  We dive along a sand bottom with abundant Posidonia Grass on our right side. On our left side the rock formation gradually slopes down becoming a nice wall where we encounter plenty ancient Amphorae.  A remarkable dive with great colors, marine life and historial interest.

"Bristol Beaufighter"

This beautifully preserved WWII Bristol Beaufighter airplane was shot down in 1943 after having bombed the German airport in Paros. Both crew members managed to survive and with the help of the local resistance who contacted the British forces they were able to arrange a  submarine to take them back to their base in Cyprus. The wreck was found in 2007 after a lot of dives searching the sand bottom at -30 meters and gathering testimonies of local fisherman and inhabitants that saw what happened back in 1943.

Prasonisi

Prasonisi is one of the most attractive dives on Paros.  A small island located just 10 minutes boat ride north, in front of New Golden Beach. Beneath the surface is a small underwater paradise for each diver. The adventure starts as you leave the surface, diving between posidonia and rock formations, followed by larger boulders, small caverns, and a nice little wall, where lobsters and moray eels make their home. There are many interesting hosts, like barracudas and sea turtles, small fishes and groupers. It is recommended for all certification levels.

Drionissi South

Drionissi South is our dive site for all sorts of dives from Try Scuba Diving, Open Water Courses, Refresher dives and daily fun dives.  Located on the south side of Drionissi island it is always protected, even if we get strong summer Meltemi winds.  The rock formations at Drionissi South can be described as “lunar”; jagged, large and unique.  Thousands of Damsel fish hover all around and the gentle sloping bottom, from -2 meters, down to -19  makes for a relaxing, easy dive.

Diving Drionissi Canyon

Diving Drionissi Canyon is like flying above and through mountains.  The feeling of cruising in between and through craters and paths.  The scenery constantly changes, from where we begin at -8 meters, in between huge crevasses down to the -18 meters after our drop along a large sloping boulder.  We see remains of amphorae, octopus, moray eels and even turtles and barracuda. The visibility is great and due to the meandering route the dive is usually 55 minutes to 1 hour long.
